Great Carter County Cycling Routes

These routes, selected by the Carter County Road Cycling Advisory Committee, are some of their favorites.  They range from very easy to extremely challenging – know your ability and limits.  The mountain routes contain many steep climbs, some quite long, and twisting, technical descents.  Road conditions vary with the weather, which can change suddenly in the higher elevations.  Although busy roads are avoided whenever possible, even the quiet roads can be busy at times, and there are a few unavoidable sections on high-traffic highways.  Please, exercise caution everywhere and all the time.  Have a great ride!
